Application Terms and Conditions (Please read carefully before applying)

  1. All applicants must attend a one-day workshop covering relevant business topics.
  2. At the end of the workshop, applicants will be required to develop a business canvas, which will serve as a test.
  3. Based on the business canvas, five students will be selected to receive 20,000 FCFA to test their business ideas.
  4. During the test period, each student will be assigned a mentor, with whom they will check in twice or more a week for one month.
  5. Mentors will rate each of the five students throughout the test period and submit their ratings to The Shirlma Show.
  6. After the test period, students will pitch their business ideas in front of their peers and a panel of judges.
  7. The top three students will be selected based on a weighted average of the mentor ratings, peer feedback, academic performance, and their business pitch scores.
  8. The winner will receive 150,000 FCFA, the second-place student will receive 120,000 FCFA, and the third-place student will receive 100,000 FCFA. Note: Cash prizes are not given directly. Instead, business supplies will be purchased, and the student(s) will own 75% of the company, while the school retains 25%.
  9. All students—whether selected or not—will have the opportunity to showcase their products/services at “The Shirlma Show Luxury Stand” during The Shirlma Live Audience Show at Krystal Palace on Saturday, May 31, 2025. This will allow them to present and discuss their products to the event attendees.

Important Notes:

  1. Applicants must be the owner (or co-owner) of the business or business idea and must own at least 20% of the company.
  2. Videos and pictures from the events will be made public on our social media handles, TV, and other platforms.
