HIBES admission’s policy is based on the philosophy of “Open Admissions” and admission are done on a rolling basis. In its genuine form, it gives room for any student with a high school diploma or certificates or its equivalence to enroll for HND.
However, it is not quite so simple. Some students may not be guaranteed admission to HIBES if there are more applicants than available space for new students for each program as HIBES has a maximum number of student intake per department. In such cases, admission is strictly based on the student’s high school grades and on a first-come-first-serve basis.
